Google Home adds Gemini context updates in May 11 release

Google said on May 11 that it is rolling out Gemini for Home early access updates and Google Home app version 4.16. Google published the changes in its May 11 release notes and a Nest Community post, and said the Gemini for Home changes are for voice assistant early access users.
Google said Gemini for Home can now connect saved household details to camera-history questions. Google gave examples such as asking about “the nanny” or “my wife’s car,” where the assistant uses saved context to identify the person or vehicle. Google also said timers and alarms are getting speed improvements.
Google said smart displays are getting thumbs-up and thumbs-down feedback buttons for voice command responses. Google also said Google Home app version 4.16 adds thermostat improvements and QR-code setup improvements, and that the app update begins rolling out on May 11.
