Unitree, a robotics company based in Hangzhou, China, will issue 40.45 million new shares at CNY150.80 each in its initial public offering. The share sale represents 10% of the company’s post-IPO share capital. Unitree said newly listed shares on Shanghai’s STAR Market are exempt from price limits during the first five trading days, which could increase volatility.
Reuters reported that the listing would make Unitree, formally Yushu Technology, the first general-purpose robotics company to debut on mainland China’s stock market. China’s securities watchdog approved the IPO in July. The company develops, manufactures and sells bipedal humanoid robots, quadruped robot dogs, robotic components and embodied-intelligence models.
Unitree reported CNY17 billion in revenue in 2025 and net profit of CNY590.8 million. In the first half of 2026, the company increased spending on robot hardware, embodied-intelligence models and motion-control algorithms. In its filing, Unitree named Tesla’s anticipated Optimus Gen-3 humanoid as a potential competitor, along with Chinese automakers and consumer electronics companies entering the humanoid robotics market.
