Nvidia expands Halos platform for industrial humanoid robot safety

Source: mobileworldlive.comJune 23, 2026

TL;DR: Nvidia presented an expanded version of its Halos safety platform for industrial robots, combining AI computing, system software, sensors, and inspection tools in one architecture. The company also opened its Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab to robotics partners for pre-certification testing. Agility Robotics is the first company to integrate parts of the platform into its Digit humanoid robot safety system.

Nvidia presented an expanded version of its Halos safety platform for industrial robots, according to Mobile World Live's report. Nvidia said the platform is designed for physical AI systems and aims to support the deployment of humanoid robots in industrial environments where they work alongside human operators.

Nvidia said the expanded Halos platform combines AI computing, system software, sensors, and inspection tools in a unified safety architecture. The platform includes Nvidia's IGX Thor industrial computing platform, Holoscan Sensor Bridge for sensor connectivity, and Halos OS software. Nvidia also opened its Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab to robotics industry partners to help them complete pre-certification tests and validate safety systems before regulatory review.

Agility Robotics is the first company to integrate elements of the Nvidia platform into the safety system of its Digit humanoid robot. Mobile World Live reported that Digit already operates in industrial applications for Amazon, Schaeffler, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. Agility Robotics will also use Nvidia's inspection lab to validate Digit's safety software, AI components, and cybersecurity protections against relevant standards.
