Apple WWDC on 8 June set to focus on Siri AI overhaul

Apple is set to hold its Worldwide Developers Conference on 8 June, where analysts expect the company to reset its artificial intelligence strategy and unveil a major Siri overhaul. Mobile World Live cited CCS Insight chief analyst Ben Wood, who said the event is a pivotal moment for Apple Intelligence and that Siri has been a long-running weakness for Apple.
Bloomberg reported Apple is expected to unveil an AI-powered Siri with conversational features, screen awareness, richer app control, support for multiple commands in one prompt, and a dedicated Siri app. The same report said Apple is also expected to introduce iOS 27 and updates to iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS, with the next software cycle focused on reliability, battery life, performance and deeper Apple Intelligence integration.
The 8 June event is also Tim Cook’s final WWDC as Apple CEO before his planned move to executive chairman on 1 September, when senior vice president of hardware engineering John Ternus is due to become CEO. PP Foresight chief analyst Paolo Pescatore said the conference carries added significance because it combines a software showcase with a leadership handover, while analysts said Apple needs to show continuity as it expands its AI strategy.
