Amazon launched Alexa Podcasts for Alexa Plus users in the United States, according to an Amazon announcement reported by Android Authority.
Amazon said Alexa Podcasts can generate podcast-style audio episodes on almost any topic in a few minutes. Users choose the topic and the episode length, and Alexa then compiles the content into an AI-hosted audio program.
Amazon said Alexa Podcasts sources information from more than 200 publications. Amazon also said the feature shows users the topics it plans to cover before generating the episode, which lets users adjust the direction at the start.
Android Authority said the feature differs from Google NotebookLM Audio Overviews and Gemini audio summaries because Alexa Podcasts begins with a user topic rather than relying mainly on user-provided source material.
