yallo launches travel eSIM for data in 160+ destinations

yallo, a Swiss telecommunications brand operated by Sunrise, has launched yallo Travel eSIM for mobile data roaming in more than 160 destinations. The service is available immediately to users in Switzerland, including customers of mobile providers other than Sunrise.

yallo Travel eSIM lets travellers choose and install a data package in the app before departure, then connect to a local data network automatically on arrival. The user’s existing SIM remains active, so they can stay reachable on their usual phone number while using mobile data through the travel eSIM.

yallo said the service includes local, regional and global data packages. Example local plans listed by the company include 10 GB for 30 days in Japan for CHF 12, Thailand for CHF 10, and Serbia for CHF 15.

yallo said the data packages can be managed in the app, shared with other devices through hotspot, and used on eSIM-compatible smartphones or tablets. The company is offering the service in cooperation with 1GLOBAL, which supplies the data packages directly to customers.
