TL;DR: Vodafone Business has launched SuperMobile for Business in the UK, adding what it describes as the country’s first national 5G+ network slice for enterprises on the VodafoneThree network. The service isolates enterprise traffic from consumer demand, supports standard compatible business handsets with 5G+ eligible devices, and includes a committed minimum download speed of 15Mbps.

Vodafone Business has launched SuperMobile for Business in the UK, introducing a national 5G+ network slice for enterprises on the VodafoneThree network. The dedicated slice isolates enterprise mobile traffic from consumer demand and provides dedicated 5G+ capacity, up to 4x faster speeds than standard plans, and a committed minimum download speed of 15Mbps.

The service works with standard compatible business handsets and does not require specialised user equipment, although access requires 5G+ eligible devices. Vodafone Business said dedicated uplink and downlink capacity is configured for real-time reporting, video collaboration, field operations, and other data-intensive applications. When users move outside 5G+ coverage zones, Network Boost prioritises their data traffic on VodafoneThree’s public network instead of the dedicated business slice.

Vodafone Business said the portfolio also includes 5G+ Local Slicing, introduced earlier this year for contracted performance levels at bounded physical sites such as entertainment venues, travel hubs, and logistics facilities. Small businesses with one to nine employees can access Vodafone SuperMobile on the national consumer slice from an additional £3 per month including VAT, while larger organisations can contract directly for the National Business Slice.

Manchester Airports Group is running a pilot of the 5G+ network slicing technology for ground team communications across airfield operations, and UK Power Networks is scheduling trials for engineering teams supporting field maintenance and incident response. Vodafone Business also said it will introduce a dedicated slice for blue light organisations and emergency responders next year on VodafoneThree’s 5G Standalone network.
