Tune Talk deploys Nokia 5G Core on AWS in Malaysia

Tune Talk has deployed a cloud-native 5G core network running Nokia’s full 5G Core software stack on AWS public cloud infrastructure in Malaysia. Telecoms Tech News reported the deployment on 3 June 2026.
The deployment uses a hybrid cloud topology. Tune Talk runs the network control plane in the AWS Malaysia Region and runs the user plane locally on AWS Outposts in Kuala Lumpur.
Tune Talk is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), which means it sells mobile services without owning the full radio access network. Nokia is supplying the 5G Core software, and AWS is providing the public cloud infrastructure used for the deployment.
