Telefonica Tech and Openlayer signed a partnership to provide enterprises in Europe and Latin America with tools to test AI systems before launch and assess them on an ongoing basis. Telefonica Tech will integrate Openlayer's offering into its AI and data services in the two regions.
Openlayer said its platform will provide structured pre-deployment testing across hallucinations, bias, toxicity and robustness, along with real-time observability features. Telefonica Tech will provide consulting, systems integration, managed operations and local support, with the combined offer intended to help regulated industries align AI systems with local rules.
The partnership reflects growing demand for AI governance tools as enterprises deploy AI under tighter regulatory requirements. Openlayer CEO Gabriel Bayomi cited the EU AI Act as one example of a framework raising requirements for responsible AI deployment in production environments.
