Telefonica Spain to connect 350 surveillance points in Guadalajara

Telefonica Spain was selected by Guadalajara Provincial Council to execute a security system plan in Guadalajara Province, Spain. The project covers the installation and connection of cameras at 350 surveillance points and includes a multi-vendor central platform.
Telefonica said each of the 350 locations will have two cameras for constant surveillance. One camera will provide full visibility, and the other will scan vehicle licence plates using optical character recognition technology.
All cameras in the Guadalajara Province project will connect through Telefonica's public 4G and 5G networks. Under the agreement, Telefonica will also manage data storage and deploy cloud infrastructure, while the region's Civil Guard will be able to access footage at surveillance points and through an image storage platform.
