Samsung to relocate US headquarters to Plano, Texas

Samsung will relocate its US headquarters to Plano, Texas, according to the Korea Times report cited by GSMArena in June 2026. The move will take Samsung’s main US base out of New Jersey after more than 40 years in the state.
Samsung’s US operations were based for most of that period in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. In 2024, Samsung announced that it would move its US headquarters to Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, but the company has now changed plans and will instead move to Texas.
Plano is north of Dallas and around 200 miles from Taylor, Texas. GSMArena said Samsung has built several large semiconductor fabrication plants in Taylor and wants to build more there. The report also said Samsung received $6.6 billion in 2024.
