Samsung to relocate US headquarters to Plano, Texas

Source: gsmarena.comJune 2, 2026

TL;DR: Samsung will relocate its US headquarters to Plano, Texas, according to a report cited by GSMArena in June 2026. Samsung had operated its US headquarters in New Jersey for more than 40 years and had announced a move to Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, in 2024 before deciding to leave the state. Plano is about 200 miles from Taylor, Texas, where Samsung has built semiconductor fabrication plants.

Samsung will relocate its US headquarters to Plano, Texas, according to the Korea Times report cited by GSMArena in June 2026. The move will take Samsung’s main US base out of New Jersey after more than 40 years in the state.

Samsung’s US operations were based for most of that period in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. In 2024, Samsung announced that it would move its US headquarters to Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, but the company has now changed plans and will instead move to Texas.

Plano is north of Dallas and around 200 miles from Taylor, Texas. GSMArena said Samsung has built several large semiconductor fabrication plants in Taylor and wants to build more there. The report also said Samsung received $6.6 billion in 2024.
