OpenAI launches ChatGPT Go globally, will start testing ads soon
OpenAI has expanded its cheaper ChatGPT Go plan to every market where ChatGPT is available. The subscription first launched in India in August at INR 399 per month and now covers 170 countries, including the US. In the US, ChatGPT Go is priced at $8 per month, compared to $20 for ChatGPT Plus and $200 for ChatGPT Pro.
Alongside the wider rollout, OpenAI says it will begin testing ads in the US in the coming weeks. The company has not detailed how these ads will appear or which users will see them. Users can compare prices and features for all ChatGPT plans on OpenAI’s website.
