Boldyn to go totally tubular in 4G and 5G for London commuters
Boldyn Networks, a neutral host infrastructure provider, has committed to bringing full 4G and 5G mobile coverage to all 121 stations on the London Underground by the end of the year. The rollout aims to give commuters consistent voice and data service across the Tube network, an area that has long suffered from patchy or non-existent connectivity.
The company’s neutral host model means multiple mobile operators can use the same underlying infrastructure, rather than each building their own separate systems. If delivered on schedule, the project would mark a major step in making mobile access on the Tube closer to what passengers already expect on streets and in mainline stations above ground.
