NTT Data added 30MW of data centre capacity in April 2026 with the opening of the AI-capable OSK11 Data Centre in Kyoto, Japan. The facility is located in Kyoto, which NTT described as a key transport and economic hub where it expects strong demand.

OSK11 uses dual-power substations, carrier-neutral connectivity across a range of networks, and an air-cooling system with back-up options for redundancy. NTT said the site also includes on-site security protections and multi-factor access controls. NTT Global Data Centres operates the facility, which is the company's 14th data centre in Japan.

The opening adds capacity as NTT targets demand from enterprises and hyperscale companies in Japan as AI and cloud use increases. OSK11 joins NTT Global Data Centres' wider portfolio of more than 160 facilities across 20 countries, showing how data centre operators are expanding infrastructure to support AI-related workloads and multinational customers.
