Midco introduced Midco Mobile unlimited and by-the-Gig mobile plans in all of its markets after completing market trials, according to Light Reading. The service runs on the AT&T network and expands Midco's mobile offer across its full footprint.
Midco said Midco Mobile includes two plan types: unlimited plans and by-the-Gig plans. The company built the offer with Telgoo5, which it identified as its MVNE, or mobile virtual network enabler, partner.
Midco's launch adds another cable and broadband provider mobile offer built on a national US operator network rather than a standalone radio access network. In the US market, this model is commonly used by MVNOs, or mobile virtual network operators, that rely on host networks such as AT&T while using partners such as Telgoo5 for enablement and operations.
