Libya to shut down outdated telecommunication exchanges
Hatif Libya, a unit of the state-owned Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company (LPTIC), will gradually shut down traditional telecommunication exchanges across the country. The move targets outdated legacy infrastructure and is part of a wider shift toward more modern network systems.
The company framed the decision as a technical and operational update, though detailed timelines, regions affected, and replacement technologies were not specified in the announcement.
