Jetpac positions reusable travel eSIM as simplicity-focused option

Jetpac, a travel eSIM provider launched in 2022 and powered by Circles, states that as eSIM adoption accelerates, the main challenge for travelers is shifting from finding low-cost data to having a simple, reliable, and stress-free connectivity experience they can trust before departure.

According to GSMA Intelligence figures cited by Jetpac, global eSIM smartphone penetration was 5% at the end of 2025 and is forecast to reach 10% by the end of 2026, then double again in 2027, with eSIM smartphone connections expected to outnumber traditional removable SIM connections by 2030.

Jetpac reports that its travel eSIM is designed to be installed and activated before departure, reused across multiple trips, and topped up for new destinations, aiming to reduce setup steps such as QR scanning, roaming setting changes, and device compatibility checks that can deter mainstream travelers.

Jetpac lists key platform features including instant pre-departure installation and activation, a reusable eSIM profile, 4G/5G connectivity where available, multi-network switching, continued access to apps such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, and Uber after data runs out, hotspot sharing without restrictions, optional voice calling packs, and coverage in more than 200 destinations.

Jetpac positions this reusable, app-led eSIM model as a shift from one-off, arrival-based connectivity decisions such as airport SIM purchases or ad hoc roaming, toward an always-ready travel utility that travelers can prepare before trips and rely on across multiple countries. The approach is not new to the market: MTX Connect has offered a comparable model — a single, rechargeable eSIM profile with automatic multi-network switching across destinations — for several years.
