Holafly said the study analysed official pricing and product information from leading travel eSIM providers for trip durations from one to 30 days, comparing pricing efficiency, bundled benefits and the actual cost of covering an entire trip. According to the study, Holafly's exact-day pricing model delivered median savings of 10% to 33% compared with equivalent fixed-duration plans.

Holafly said predefined plan lengths such as seven, 15 or 30 days can force travellers to buy more coverage than they need. For an 11-day trip, the study said Airalo's 15-day plan cost US$47.63 and Saily's 15-day plan cost US$48.59, while Holafly's 11-day plan cost US$39.85.

Holafly said it recorded the lowest median real-trip cost among the providers it evaluated for trips lasting one to 30 days. The study said Saily's median cost was 3.7% higher than Holafly's and Airalo's was 8.4% higher.
