GSMA and ITU to co-locate MWC26 Doha and PP-26

GSMA and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will co-locate MWC26 Doha and the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026 (PP-26) in Doha, Qatar, in November 2026. MWC26 Doha will run from 8 to 10 November in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and PP-26 will begin on 9 November and continue through 27 November, hosted by Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority.

MWC26 Doha’s exhibition floor will sit adjacent to the PP-26 venue in Doha, allowing PP-26 delegates to access the GSMA event. The ITU states that its Plenipotentiary Conference is held every four years and serves as the organisation’s highest policy-making body, setting strategic direction, approving financial plans, and electing ITU officials, council member states, and Radio Regulations Board members.

GSMA said the co-location builds on the inaugural MWC Doha event in 2025. According to GSMA, the 2025 event brought together 60 delegations from 49 countries and 11 intergovernmental organisations.
