Google Gemini Notebook rolls out Collections for notebook grouping

Google has started rolling out Collections in Gemini Notebook, formerly NotebookLM, according to an Android Authority report published on August 18, 2025. The new feature lets users group related notebooks instead of keeping all notebooks in a single list.
Collections are designed as a flexible grouping system rather than a traditional folder structure. Android Authority described the feature as working like playlists or photo albums, allowing users to organize notebooks by topics such as work projects, holiday planning, recipes, or research.
The rollout is gradual, and the current version is limited to personal organization. Android Authority reported that users cannot share Collections at this stage.
