Geely Technology Europe expanded its partnership with Vodafone Business to add connectivity platforms for electric vehicles in Europe, according to a Mobile World Live report published in June 2026. The agreement covers Internet in the Car, private mobile networks, and Cloud Connect services for vehicle monitoring and driver experience in Germany and Sweden.

Rivian extended its agreement with AT&T to integrate 5G into the R2 model in the United States and Canada. The companies began working together in 2023, and the expanded deal is intended to provide continuous network infrastructure for the vehicle. The report said 5G will support faster over-the-air software updates, real-time services, and in-car entertainment features on the R2.

AT&T also announced a collaboration with Cisco and LiveOne to simplify audio content integration and billing systems in connected cars. The report said connected vehicle partnerships can support remote diagnostics, cloud data exchange, and software updates delivered without workshop visits. Vodafone said 98% of new passenger cars sold worldwide will include some form of connectivity by 2030.
