BT Group signed a five-year contract with BAE Systems to provide secure connectivity services across BAE Systems' global network in 40 countries, including the UK. Mobile World Live reported the deal in January 2025.
Under the agreement, BT will provide services intended to support more flexible working and improve access to digital tools across specialist environments. BT will also support the UK-based defence and aerospace company’s wider digital transformation efforts to improve operational efficiency. The contract includes an option to extend for an additional three years.
BT said the partnership supports its focus on secure connectivity and services for sectors including defence, manufacturing, and national infrastructure. Mobile World Live also noted that BT launched a sovereign information platform last year covering connectivity, security, cloud, AI, and unified communications for organisations in regulated or sensitive sectors.
