Bezos' Blue Origin readies 6-terabit super satellite constellation
Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin is planning a satellite network called TeraWave aimed at enterprise customers, including data centers. The project calls for 5,408 satellites in low-Earth and medium-Earth orbits, designed to deliver roughly 6 Tbit/s of total capacity.
Positioned as an infrastructure play rather than a consumer internet service, TeraWave is pitched at organizations that need high-throughput connectivity. The constellation would add another large private player to the growing field of satellite-based data transport.
