Apple to use privaterelay.appleid.com for Sign in with Apple emails

Source: 9to5mac.comJune 16, 2026

Apple announced on June 15, 2026, that it will use the shared domain privaterelay.appleid.com for private email addresses generated by Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email.

TL;DR

  • Apple said Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email will use one shared email domain.
  • The shared domain is privaterelay.appleid.com.
  • The change applies to private relay email addresses generated by both services.

Apple said on June 15, 2026, that private email addresses created through Sign in with Apple will use the domain privaterelay.appleid.com. Sign in with Apple is Apple's account login feature that lets users authenticate with third-party apps and services while limiting data shared with those services.

Apple also said iCloud+ Hide My Email will use the same shared domain, privaterelay.appleid.com, for generated private email addresses. Hide My Email is an iCloud+ feature that creates relay addresses so users can avoid sharing their personal email address directly.

The announcement means Apple will standardize private relay email addresses from Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email under one domain. The source material did not provide a specific rollout date beyond saying Apple will make the change soon.
