1Password adds Claude login access on Mac with biometric approval

1Password has launched 1Password for Claude, a Mac integration that lets Anthropic's Claude sign into websites without exposing saved passwords or one-time codes to the AI.
According to 1Password's blog post, Claude can request access to a saved login when it reaches a sign-in page. The user sees which credential Claude wants and why, then must approve the request biometrically before 1Password fills in the login details.
1Password said Claude's access is limited to the current task. Android Authority reported that the launch also includes a new Agentic Mode for browser-based AI agents.
