MacBook Neo sales projected to be strong, interesting news surfaces about the Neo 2
Apple’s new MacBook Neo, now the lowest-priced MacBook in the lineup, is not expected to be a niche product. Industry estimates put shipments at roughly 4.5–5 million units for this year, with about half of those—2–2.5 million—forecast to ship by the end of June.
Quanta is currently the sole assembler of the MacBook Neo, though Foxconn may be added as a second supplier. For the follow-up model, often referred to as the Neo 2, Luxshare is pushing to win assembly orders as part of its broader goal to become the world’s largest laptop manufacturer. The company has been rapidly expanding its notebook production capacity to support that ambition.
