Blues integrates Skylo NTN satellite with cellular and Wi-Fi in a single Notecard IoT module

Blues has introduced Notecard for Skylo, a single IoT module that combines three connectivity options: Skylo-powered NTN satellite, narrowband cellular, and Wi‑Fi. The module is designed to automatically switch between these networks so devices can stay connected as they move from depots (Wi‑Fi), to roads (cellular), to remote areas (satellite). Blues positions the product for sectors such as transportation, logistics, energy, and commercial equipment, where connectivity gaps are common.

The company also drops the usual satellite subscription model. Instead of fixed monthly fees and usage minimums, satellite access runs on pay‑as‑you‑go pricing. By integrating all three radio technologies in one module, Blues aims to cut hardware variants, contracts, and separate workflows that often come with adding satellite as a backup. The product builds on Blues’ earlier Starnote for Skylo add‑on, but targets narrowband‑centric designs; customers needing higher bandwidth LTE Cat 1 options are still directed to use the Starnote accessory. Notecard for Skylo is scheduled to be available on March 10, 2026.
