AT&T takes Turbo service to arenas
AT&T is extending its Turbo Live service to 11 US stadiums, promising faster mobile data for people at busy sports and concert venues. Customers with eligible 5G phones can sign up to get higher data speeds in the arenas. The offer is not limited to AT&T’s own users: T-Mobile and Verizon subscribers can also use Turbo Live, though they may need an unlocked device and an open eSIM slot.
Turbo Live, available to download in February, is an event-focused extension of AT&T’s existing Turbo add-on, which offers higher-speed connectivity for a daily or monthly fee. AT&T plans to bring the service to more stadiums in the coming months, pitching it as a way to improve on-the-spot mobile performance regardless of a customer’s primary carrier.
