Achieving operator growth in the AI development era
At the Intelligent Operations Summit during MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei set out its view on how telecom operators can grow as AI reshapes the industry. The company argued that operators hold specific advantages in network assets, data, and infrastructure, and can use these to support AI-driven services and operations.
Huawei’s pitch focused on operators shifting from traditional connectivity to more intelligent networks and services, using AI to improve efficiency, automate operations, and open new revenue streams. The core message: operators that treat AI as a central part of network planning and service design, rather than an add-on, will be better positioned to capture future growth.
