Vodafone Idea lines up ₹45,000-crore capex over 3 years in turnaround bid
Vodafone Idea plans to spend ₹45,000 crore over the next three years as it tries to claw back ground lost to Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. The investment will target 4G expansion and 5G rollout, as well as strengthening the company’s overall network and infrastructure.
Management is aiming for double-digit revenue growth and to triple Ebitda in the same period, a target it describes as ambitious. The capex push is part of a broader turnaround attempt for the heavily indebted telco, which has been losing subscribers and market share to its larger rivals.
