Telia lifts FY dividend as Q4 service revenue rises 2%
Telia Company plans to raise its dividend for the 2024 financial year, to be paid in 2025, after meeting targets in its mid-term plan. The telecom operator reported that fourth-quarter service revenue grew by 2 percent, helped by its core markets, while it continues to face pressure in Norway and Finland and aims to turn those operations around.
The company said the higher dividend reflects its cash generation and balance sheet position, even as it works through operational and market headwinds in parts of the Nordic region. Management framed the move as a signal of confidence in the long-term stability of the business rather than a reaction to short-term swings in performance.
