Spotify now lets you share what you're listening to with your friends in real time
Spotify has added a new opt-in feature called Listening Activity that shows what you’re playing in real time inside Messages. If you’re not currently listening, the last track you played appears instead.
Only people you’re already connected with in Spotify Messages can see this activity. You can view others’ listening activity even if you keep yours off, as long as they’ve chosen to share it. The option sits in the Privacy and Social section of the Spotify app settings, where you can turn it on or off at any time.
