Samsung's profit triples on AI-driven memory demand
Samsung Electronics reported that its operating profit in the fourth quarter of 2025 more than tripled, driven by strong demand for memory chips used in AI servers. The company said orders for high-performance memory, needed to run large artificial intelligence models in data centres, supported a record quarterly result.
Samsung added that the AI boom is reshaping its chip business, with customers increasing investment in server infrastructure. This demand for advanced memory is helping offset weaker conditions in other parts of the semiconductor and electronics market.
