Samsung reportedly working on a wide-screen foldable for 2026
Samsung is reportedly developing a new foldable phone with a wider inner screen to compete with Apple’s expected first foldable iPhone.
According to a new report cited by GSMArena, Samsung’s device will use a 7.6-inch OLED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio in a passport-style foldable design, planned for a 2026 launch. The size and shape closely track rumors around Apple’s so-called iPhone Fold, which is expected to feature a 7.58-inch inner screen. The move suggests both companies see value in wider, tablet-like foldables rather than tall, narrow designs.
