BT posts revenues of $6.8 billion in fiscal Q3
BT reported third-quarter revenue of £5 billion (about $6.8 billion), down 4% year over year. The drop came mainly from lower service and equipment sales and the impact of divestments. Profit before tax fell 11% to £862 million.
On the network side, BT said it has now passed 21.4 million premises with fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP), marking the eighth straight quarter in which it has added more than 1 million premises. The company highlighted the continued expansion of its fiber footprint even as its top line and profit came under pressure.
