AT&T says it will scrap its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes as it seeks approval from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a new spectrum acquisition.
The move comes as political and regulatory pressure around DEI intensifies across US telecoms, with companies weighing the cost of maintaining such initiatives against the risk of complicating key regulatory decisions.
