Vodafone Business turns to IoT to modernise Egypt’s farms
Vodafone Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Egypt, is moving into the country’s agriculture sector, aiming to apply internet of things (IoT) technology to one of Egypt’s core industries. The company frames this as a major step in expanding beyond telecoms into practical services for farmers and agribusiness.
While full details are still limited, the push is positioned around using connected devices and data to monitor fields, equipment or supplies, with the goal of making farm operations more efficient in a sector that underpins a large share of Egypt’s economy.
