Malaysian operator U Mobile is creating a "neutral" 5G-Advanced sandbox to help enterprises test and develop new 5G-A services. The sandbox is positioned as vendor-agnostic and open to different industry players that want to trial use cases before full-scale deployment.
U Mobile says it has already secured several well-known ecosystem partners to back the initiative, aiming to make it easier for companies to experiment with 5G-A capabilities in areas such as performance, reliability and advanced applications, without locking into a single supplier.
