Two-thirds of Dutch businesses stall within 12 hours without internet
Almost two-thirds of businesses in the Netherlands (65 percent) say they cannot operate for more than 12 hours without telecom services such as internet and telephony, according to new research reported by Telecompaper. The findings underline how dependent daily business processes have become on stable connections, from basic communication to access to cloud services and digital tools.
The study suggests that even short disruptions can quickly affect continuity, as many organisations lack workable offline backups or procedures. For most companies, internet and phone lines are now core infrastructure rather than support services, meaning outages move from an IT issue to a direct business risk.
