T-Mobile bets on fixed wireless and fiber for its next growth phase
T-Mobile is doubling down on fixed wireless access (FWA) and eyeing more fiber acquisitions as it looks for new ways to grow. The company says FWA is not a stopgap product but a long-term part of its broadband strategy, helping it add customers beyond its traditional mobile base.
Alongside its push into home internet and fiber, T-Mobile is shifting how it reports results, moving to customer account reporting instead of focusing mainly on lines or connections. The operator expects that mix of FWA, fiber broadband, and new reporting will better highlight service and revenue growth opportunities for investors and analysts.
