SIMPL Launches 5G-Ready EverSIM for Global IoT
SIMPL Wireless has updated its EverSIM embedded SIM to support standalone 5G while remaining compatible with NB-IoT and other cellular standards. Built on Thales’ eSIM and eSIM IoT Remote Manager technology, the product aims to turn global IoT connectivity into a centrally managed service, cutting typical eSIM rollout times from a year or more down to a few days. Connectivity solution providers and OEMs can manage multi-operator deployments through a single interface, use a Bring Your Own Carrier model, or mix their own carrier deals with connectivity bought from SIMPL.
EverSIM ships with T-Mobile and another Tier 1 operator profile preloaded, and can download and manage up to 100 mobile network operators worldwide. It comes in multiple consumer and industrial form factors, including plug-in SIMs (2FF, 3FF, 4FF), embedded MFF2, and SIMPL’s smaller MFF2xs format, to help standardize connectivity across different types of equipment and devices while limiting SKU sprawl. SIMPL and Thales are also offering a 90-day pilot program (airtime not included) so Thales customers can test EverSIM in production-like environments before scaling up.
