Private 5G/LTE market set to hit $7.2 billion by 2028
Research firm SNS Telecom & IT estimates that the global market for private 5G and LTE networks will reach $7.2 billion by the end of 2028. The latest report points to continued growth in dedicated cellular networks as organisations look for more control, security and reliability than they get from public mobile services.
Private 5G and LTE deployments are drawing interest from sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, utilities and other operations that rely on connected devices and time‑critical communications. SNS Telecom & IT’s forecast suggests that spending on these closed networks will keep rising over the next few years as businesses expand IoT and automation projects.
