OpenAI agrees USD 110 bln in new funding, Amazon joins as investor
OpenAI has secured USD 110 billion in new funding, more than doubling its valuation in six months. The deal values the ChatGPT maker at USD 730 billion before the new money, according to Telecompaper.
Amazon is investing USD 50 billion as part of the round, joining other backers in a move that deepens its bet on AI infrastructure and services. The agreement marks one of the largest private funding deals in the technology sector to date, further concentrating capital and influence among a small group of major AI platforms and their corporate partners.
