Ooredoo creates international Fibre Networks business to meet data services demand
Ooredoo Group has set up a new independent unit, Ooredoo Fibre Networks (OFN), to run and expand its international fibre infrastructure. The move is aimed at handling rising demand for data services across the markets where the group operates.
OFN will manage Ooredoo’s existing fibre assets and focus on scaling capacity, improving connectivity, and supporting wholesale and enterprise customers that rely on cross-border data links. The company positions the new entity as a way to centralise network planning and investment while separating fibre infrastructure from its other business lines.
