Nvidia pours $2B into Lumentum
Nvidia is putting $2 billion into optical component maker Lumentum to push development of advanced optics and expand production capacity.
The cash is framed as a strategic move to speed up new optical technologies and support Lumentum’s US-based manufacturing. Both sides are positioning the deal as a way to keep up with rising demand for high-speed optical links driven by AI and data center growth.
