MWC Barcelona 2026: Prototyping an AI-native 6G from foundation to new services
At MWC Barcelona 2026, Qualcomm is using live demonstrations to show how it wants 6G networks to handle more intelligence and higher efficiency from the ground up. The company is focusing on the air interface—the basic way devices and networks talk to each other—while building in AI so that future systems can adapt in real time to changing conditions and demands.
As more computing and decision-making move to the network edge, Qualcomm argues that tomorrow’s wireless systems must deliver faster, more reliable links that can learn and optimize on their own. The demos highlight how 6G could support new AI-native services by tightly integrating radio design, network intelligence and device capabilities, with the goal of making wireless connectivity more capable as it becomes more central to daily life.
