Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with Orange Egypt to expand telemedicine services.
The deal aims to extend digital healthcare to villages and remote or underserved areas, with a focus on providing more consistent, higher-quality medical support at a distance. The partners plan to use telecom infrastructure to connect patients in these regions with healthcare providers who may be based in larger cities or medical centres.
