Linux Foundation pushes open-source stack for AI and 5G at MWC 2026
At MWC Barcelona 2026, the Linux Foundation is using the show to promote open-source building blocks for next-generation networks. Executive Arpit Joshipura is speaking at both the Agentic AI Summit and the 5G Futures Summit, positioning open collaboration as a way to link AI, 5G, and cloud-native telecom infrastructure.
On the show floor, projects such as CAMARA, Sylva, and LF Education are active, highlighting practical work around open network APIs, cloud-native telco platforms, and skills development. The foundation’s message centers on using shared code and common frameworks so operators and vendors can experiment faster and avoid locking themselves into proprietary stacks.
