Ukrainian operator Kyivstar has acquired regional internet provider Shtorm to strengthen its fixed broadband business. The company did not reveal how much it paid for the deal.

The move is part of Kyivstar’s wider push to grow beyond mobile services and expand its footprint in fixed-line connectivity, as demand for reliable home and business broadband continues despite the ongoing war. Shtorm brings regional network assets and subscribers that Kyivstar can fold into its existing infrastructure and service portfolio.
