KKR, Singtel to buy ST Telemedia data centres for SGD 13.8 bln
A consortium led by KKR and Singtel Group has agreed to buy ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) for SGD 13.8 billion, taking full control of the business from its current owner, ST Telemedia. The deal covers STT GDC’s global data centre portfolio, which serves cloud providers, telecom operators and enterprises.
The acquisition reflects continued investor demand for data centre assets, driven by rising cloud use and data traffic. KKR and Singtel plan to use the platform to expand further in key markets, though detailed operational changes were not disclosed in the initial announcement.
